Saturn Returns - Choice of Base
Saturn Returns - Choice of Base
Saturn Returns is a variegated mix of rich, mid-toned grey, pale grey, and cool, pearly white with speckles of gold, magenta, and deep violet. Your favorite cozy grey sweater with a touch of visual interest and depth from the multicolored speckles. I originally dyed this on my 30th birthday to make myself a special sweater to wear for my next birthday celebration. I loved this colorway too much not to make it a permanent part of the collection.
A "Saturn Return" is an astrological transit that occurs when the planet Saturn returns to the longitude it was at during the time of a person's birth birth. It supposedly begins when one is between 27 and 29.5 years old, with the planet reaching its exact location when they are around 30 years old.

What is Shaniko wool?
What is Shaniko wool?
Shaniko isn't a breed of sheep - it's the name for wool that comes
from Merino and Merino/Rambouillet sheep raised here in the US by ranchers who have
been certified by the Shaniko Wool Company. Shaniko wool is shiny and
soft, insulating and durable. The perfect mix of wooly and luxurious,
it's a joy to work with and to wear.
Completely traceable and
Responsible Wool Standard compliant, Shaniko wool is grown, sheared,
scoured, and milled here in the United States using regenerative farming
practices.
