The slightly larger “parent” yarn to our Icarus mohair, this unique blend of superwash merino, silk, and mohair combine to create a supreme garment fabric, with fashionable drape and brilliant shine. Silk and superwash merino lend their strength and durability, keeping pills at bay and making this a beautiful and regularly wearable choice for garments and accessories that get a lot of wear. And thanks to the mohair content, you can get some of that fluffy appearance and extra warmth without holding yarn double!
60% Fine Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Superkid Mohair, 20% Mulberry Silk. Fingering. 383yd, 350m. 100g.
Sample shown is the Trille Top by Pernille Larsen. Knit by Taylor in Offering of Stones held double.
Is there not enough available of the color that you want? Have a batch dyed just for you! This is recommended if you are planning a larger project and want skeins from the same batch.

What is Shaniko wool?
What is Shaniko wool?
Shaniko isn't a breed of sheep - it's the name for wool that comes
from Merino and Merino/Rambouillet sheep raised here in the US by ranchers who have
been certified by the Shaniko Wool Company. Shaniko wool is shiny and
soft, insulating and durable. The perfect mix of wooly and luxurious,
it's a joy to work with and to wear.
Completely traceable and
Responsible Wool Standard compliant, Shaniko wool is grown, sheared,
scoured, and milled here in the United States using regenerative farming
practices.
